SMOKE & MIRRORS, FIRE & LIGHT

Smoke occurs when the burning process of matter is incomplete or inefficient. Or when oxygen is limited, and fuel cannot fully convert into gases. Smoke is therefore, a collection of tiny, unburned leftover particles.

Like our samskaras, habitual grooves and leftover karmic patterns.

“Smoke and mirrors” is thus used to describe situations that are confusing, not fully clear or honest, implying that the crux of the matter is hidden from sight (whether deliberately or otherwise).

In the physical body, when food is not properly digested by the stomach’s fire, the residue then  becomes toxin (ama) which accumulates in the body. This in turn, dulls the mind and deludes the senses — feeding one’s desire to create a ‘fear-based reality’. In our present world, smoke and tar is burned and inhaled as a means to cope with suppressed anger, unexpressed creativity, and unconscious resentment.

The tantric scriptures have given us distinct clues to address such a conundrum.

In the Devi Mahatmya, the asura general Dhumralocana (smoke-filled vision) is destroyed by a single declaration of the Bija of Fire by the Goddess Durga.

Amongst the 10 Wisdom Goddesses (Dasha Mahavidyas), Dhumavati is the grandmother goddess of smoke, keeper of the secrets of darkness and custodian of the Void. It is she who removes all delusions of the ego’s false projected self — destroying the distortion of the  ‘mirrored view’ and allowing clarity of awareness.

This Shakti is similarly taken on by the 8th avatar of Ganesha, in the form of Dhumravarna, the smoke-colored one. Tasked with destroying the demon of Ahamkara (deluded ego), who caused havoc by distorting all the sacred fires (yagya) of the three worlds. This contamination was nullified when Ganesha took the form of smoke itself to conquer Ahamkarasura.

* Remedial measures will be recommended based on your needs and personal goals

The GOAL of my session is to facilitate independence from forecasting (fate) — and instead, use this knowledge to create desired healthy changes in your life (physical reality) by fostering self-awareness, karmic-accountability, and guided structure to transform the inner domain of who you are.

Follow-up Consultations: revisiting your strongest and weakest planets, and delve deeper into the Annual Planetary effects on your chart

* Continued guidance on refining your personal practice (sadhana) with focus on building clarity, ‘parting the veil’, and loosening karmic patterns (samskaras)

Each consultation session begins with a short guided meditation, and ends with either a karmic-clearing meditation or channeled guidance.

You are later invited to email three (3) follow-up questions BETWEEN 30 - 90 DAYS after your consultation (and within the same email… this is not a discourse). If you send more than 3 questions then I will choose which 3 to answer. Remember, clarity is power.
